REACH Testing for Annex XVII and SVHC Restrictions

PAH analyses and further restricted substances tests for the EU Chemical Regulation

The REACH Regulation EC 1907/2006 aims to ensure better control of chemicals that can be harmful to health and the environment. We assist manufacturers, importers, and distributors with accredited pollutant testing to meet the strict legal requirements for placing chemicals in the European market. Furthermore, we conduct tests for other international markets, such as the US market, and in accordance with customer-specific substance restriction lists.

Highest Standards for Safe Handling of Chemicals

The REACH Regulation EC 1907/2006 mandates manufacturers, importers, (online) retailers, and users to take responsibility for the chemicals they use. From mandatory registration with detailed substance information to risk assessment and obligatory consumer information, numerous requirements must be met before chemicals can be placed on the market in Europe. Additionally, specific substance restrictions (Annex XVII) apply to products, along with special information obligations for SVHC substances (Art. 33, Art. 59), particularly PAHs (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons) in consumer goods with skin contact.

Complete REACH Compliance Through Accredited Pollutant Analyses

DEKRA experts in the Laboratory for Environmental and Product Analysis support you with accredited pollutant analyses, the determination of missing data, and the verification of compliance declarations tailored to your specific questions, articles, and materials. Individual queries may arise, for example, concerning SVHC substances during plastic recycling or PAHs that unintentionally enter rubber and plastic products as contaminants in raw materials or during the processing of plasticizer oils and industrial carbon. PAH tests to comply with material- and product-specific limits are also required for awarding the GS mark.
